Individual Counselling

I am a counsellor dedicated to helping individuals who are experiencing loss and grief, at any stage in life.

My philosophy is to assist people in need of compassion and understanding by nurturing, caring and listening.

Grief is a normal, natural response that follows a significant change or loss which may affect parts, or all, of someone's life. Everybody grieves in their own way. There is no right or wrong way to do it and no timeline on how long it takes.

Grief can follow the loss of a loved one, home, pet, possession or profession. It can also follow the change in circumstances such as moving house, relationship breakdown or having children move out.

You may be able to deal with your grief with the help of your family and friends.

If you need some extra help please contact me.

Mourning in our culture isn't always easy. Normal thoughts and feelings connected to loss are typically seen as unnecessary and even shameful. Instead of encouraging mourners to express themselves, our cultures unstated rules would have them avoid their hurt and be strong.

But grief is not a disease.

Instead, it's the normal healthy process of embracing the mystery of the death of someone loved. If mourners see themselves as active participants in their healing, they will experience a renewed sense of meaning and purpose in life.
